Fabric Suggestions
This skirt is for knitted jersey fabrics. A double or single jersey can be used. One with drape is better to let the gathers hang well but if you prefer something heavier like a Ponte Roma then that would work too. Just make sure you check the stretch of the fabric matches the size of pattern you’re cutting. If you need to make it smaller once it’s made it’s really easy to shave it off the plain side. As long as you take it off equally all the way down it will turn out fine.
Adaptations
This skirt really doesn’t need any adaptations but if you’re competent enough, you can shorten or lengthen it easily. You can even take in the sides at the hem narrowing up to nothing at the hip to make it a bit more “pencil” if you choose.
