The Lomond Top is a comfortable garment in a smart casual style. The pattern includes two configurations; a Kimono Top and as a Robe. The subtle Kimono style is something you could wear every day and is easy to match with a wide variety of other clothes. This is the perfect garment to layer over our Flawless Camisole.
The Robe version wraps around your body more than the Kimono version and comes with a tie belt to keep it closely wrapped.

Lomond Kimono and Robe
The Kimono style is so versatile that it can be made in an array of soft fabrics, woven or jersey. You can completely transform the look for whichever occasion you choose. It’s fab in bold prints in the springtime, cool linens for hot summer days, soft jerseys would be lovely.
The long version you can try in heavier fabrics, in cotton Lawn or soft silky prints. Why not go for an Angel Strawbridge oriental vintage style? We love her and this style would suit her to the ground.
I wouldn’t change a thing about these two styles. Have great fun with the fabrics, Try contrasting fabrics on the band around the neck, the tie and the sleeve hem would be something to experiment with. Give it a go!
This Kimono and Robe are aimed at the novice sewer. If you’ve used a sewing machine before and had a play around, made a few small projects and so on. Now you’d love to have a go at sewing a garment. There’s nothing too tricky here, just go for it. No zips, no gathering, no hand sewing. There’s some interfacing on the band, just to make it easier to sew but on some heavier fabrics you might not need it.
90cm x 90cm for Top. 1.2m x 90cm for the robe of lightweight fusible interfacing. Vilene H180 is a perfect weight.
